BLACKENED TOFU

|
Drain and wrap in towel to get out excess moisture: | ||
1 # tofu | |||
Take any blackened meat or fish seasoning and mix with olive oil to make a paste or use the Chinese 5 Star paste (below). | |||
Slice tofu and spread the above onto slices and place in baking dish. May cut into cubes | |||
Either marinate overnight or at least 1 hour in refrigerator | |||
Bake at 375 approx 30 minutes. | |||
OR for a chewier, firmer version bake at 250 for 2 hours | |||
Chinese 5 Star paste: | |||
1 Chinese 5 spice | |||
3 T olive oil | |||
1/2 t salt | |||
1/16 t stevia |
