|In blender or mixing bowl:|
|1 c water|
|2 T oil , butter or veg spread|
|1/4 c nuts|
|1 T baking powder|
|1/2 t salt|
|1 1/4 c whole grain flour|
|Blend all ingredients except flour and baking powder until smooth.
Add flour and baking powder and blend until mixed.
Let sit a coupe of minutes.
Pour onto a medium hot greased griddle and cook slowly until bubbles appear on surface then flip and cook till done.
Makes 4 medium pancakes.
|May substitute 2 T coconut oil and/or 1 c coconut milk for a richer pancake|
